The Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA) hereby reminds all filmmakers, production companies, and other entities engaged in filming activities in Bhutan that a valid filming permit issued by BICMA must be obtained prior to the commencement of any feature film, short film, documentary, commercial advertisement, or any other filming activity, in accordance with Section 6(i) of the Bhutan Filming Regulations 2025.
All relevant government agencies, local authorities, and other approving bodies are also requested to verify that applicants have obtained a valid BICMA filming permit before issuing any additional approvals or clearances related to filming activities.
BICMA appreciates the continued cooperation of all stakeholders in ensuring compliance with the Bhutan Filming Regulations 2025 and in supporting the orderly and responsible conduct of filming activities in the Kingdom.
