The Bhutan InfoComm and Media Authority (BICMA) is pleased to announce the launch of the second phase of the Film Production Grant aimed at supporting the production of feature-length art films (both fiction and creative documentary) which reflect Bhutan’s unique cultural identity, foster critical thought, and promote meaningful storytelling.
This initiative is part of BICMA’s continued effort to nurture Bhutanese cinema as a vehicle for cultural expression, social dialogue, and national development. The grant is intended for filmmakers who aspire to explore subjects of artistic, societal, and cultural significance through creative, independent filmmaking. The grant is intended to empower and support Bhutanese filmmakers whose independent and artistic storytelling approaches typically fall outside the scope of local commercial funding and investment opportunities.
